Hotel Review
Stylish, newly converted inns are springing up to feed and water the good folk of Gloucestershire faster than you can say hedge fund baby. With its attractive dining area, pretty enclosed garden - perfect for children – charmingly rustic treatment room and informal Game Bar for coffee and light lunches, the Wheatsheaf is no exception - except that it stands out from the crowd for its commitment and heart. The bedrooms are imaginatively decorated with some wonderful wallpapers and fabrics from Lewis & Wood, though you’ll find that the deep zinc bath and Hypnos beds are worth the room price alone. The food, from experienced chef, Anthony Ely doesn’t miss a beat and you can expect a superb breakfast, including the best deviled kidneys ever.
