About Les Deux Alpes

Les Deux Alpes is a great destination for adventurous spirits. In winter there are numerous off-piste areas to explore, as well as around 130kms worth of pistes served by 55 lifts, and a large snowboarding park. And in Summer there’s glacier skiing or mountain biking to choose from. As you might imagine Les Deux Alpes is also a great place for come for lively nightlife - there’s nothing like defying death to raise the excitement level. The best places to stay in Les Deux Alpes depend on your taste, but there are a couple of lovely alpine charmers that our Gurus have picked out for you.

It might sound like Les Deux Alpes is best for more experienced skiiers, but the shape of the mountain means that most of the really challenging runs are around the bottom, and the peak has lots of blue runs, so it’s a great choice for those building their confidence. And one of the best things about Les Deux Alpes is that there’s skiing almost year round.

The resort itself is a conglomeration of two tiny rural hamlets, so it’s not got the glamour of other French resorts, but it is a lot of fun year round.

Just remember that if you want to guarantee a bed in one of the best places to stay in Les Deux Alpes during the peak winter months, you'll have to get organised and book well ahead.
