The Best Pubs with Rooms in the Isle of Wight

The Fishbourne

The Isle of Wight is the perfect holiday destination. Both easily accessible (from London) but also feeling a million miles away. With a scenic coastline, beautiful walking trails, hidden beaches, a strong sailing community and a generally laid back vibe - there is plenty to draw visitors here. Our Hotel Gurus believe that booking a room in a pub is the perfect way to get a real feel for the island - mix with locals at the bar, enjoy the island's produce, and relax after a day outdoors in a cosy environment. With this in mind, we have compiled a collection of the best pubs with rooms in the Isle of Wight to make booking your next hotel a swift and easy task. Whether you would rather a coastal or a countryside stay - why not browse through our collection to get planning your next break?

For beach access

The Boathouse

  • The Boathouse has an unbeatable location, right on Apply Beach and just a short distance from the centre of Seaview. The pub is a popular spot and the restaurant serves (unsurprisingly) excellent seafood. Rooms are light and airy and the best have sea views. Perfect for a beach break.

For a traditional stay

The Union Inn

  • The Union Inn is a charming inn set in the heart of Cowes and just a short walk from the sea. Quaint rooms have traditional wallpaper and antiques. Downstairs the pub and restaurant are atmospheric and as popular with locals as they are with tourists.

For a country escape

The Wight Mouse Inn

  • The Wight Mouse Inn is perfectly poised for walkers and cyclists, set in a sleepy coastal village in the south of the island. Spacious rooms are light and simply dressed while the pub serves excellent British classics alongside a good selection of ales.
  • The Fishbourne is another charming stay well located to explore the coast and countryside. Rooms have a contemporary take on traditional design while much the same is seen in the pub which serves modern British classics. A friendly base to explore the island from.
