“A plant-filled hotel in the heart of Mayfair, just steps from Green Park & the West End’s best. Inside, it's all moss walls, oak floors, feather art & giant tree-trunk desks – calming, earthy & quietly luxurious. With a sultry cocktail bar, a standout restaurant from Tom Seller & a Bamford spa”

Hotel review

"Welcome Home" (1 Hotel Mayfair's opening gambit) for those whose homes include food from a 2 Michelin-starred chef, unnumbered young and enthusiastic staff, a Bamford wellness spa, a techno gym, an all-day cafe with fresh food to go, a moody cocktail bar and 180 bedrooms, not to mention the thousands of plants scattered throughout the building, growing up the walls, inside and out, art installations and that 'home' is opposite The Ritz, in sight of Green Park, steps away from Bond Street and within an easy stroll of theatre and museum land. But for those with more modest abodes, it's a treat to stay here. It's fun and friendly, with none of the stuffiness of near neighbours. It's the home where you can relax, laugh, be treated as a friend, although you do need to remember that you are paying the bill. Rooms are comfortable with oak wooden floors and a relaxing neutral feel and a clever use of natural materials - wood, concrete, rope, linen. Bathrooms are well equipped, as you would expect and finished with welsh slate and mood lighting.

1 Hotel Mayfair is the latest uber-luxe opening in the leafy London neighbourhood to promise an elegant place to stay with super sustainable credentials

1 Hotels' first European property is a game-changer in the heart of Mayfair. The brand fully leaps on the sustainability bandwagon; some may call it a useful gimmick, buying into the current zeitgeist, but it fulfils its brief to be London's first mission-driven sustainable luxury hotel
