Hotel review

Sidi Kaouki sits on a wild, expansive stretch of Atlantic coast 20 minutes outside Essaouira. From the rooftops of Rebali Riads you can see the waves crashing and camels lolloping along the beach. This is a great spot to unwind and relax with few distractions yet for the restless there's still plenty to do, from playing tennis to camel trekking and kitesurfing. Six comfortably simple and spacious 2-storey amber-scented riad-style villas overlook a pool (one has its own private pool) and have open plan kitchens and sitting area under an atrium. Bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms are reached via a galleried landing each with a balcony that leads to a private roof terrace. Although English and French owned, the place is managed with friendly efficiency by Mohammad and Fatima. Meals are served at tiled tables outside each riad or in the shaded outdoor communal area.
