“Akin to staying in a luxury antique shop surrounded by silverware, fine china and highly polished furniture, but deeply relaxing and rather grand. An opulent romantic destination. ”

Hotel Review

The Gabbia d’Oro is a luxury hotel, no doubt about that, but it does not take itself too seriously. The parrots in a cage in the bar would not be found in many Relais. The hotel is small (27 rooms), central, quiet and much prettier than the usual Italian damascene ‘palace.’ It’s decorated with taste and wit. Most of the bedrooms are in suites. The staff seem kind and sensible. It would not be easy for disabled people and there is no restaurant.
