Hotel Overview

“Hotel du Lac has been in the Arosio family for last two generations and this means that when you arrive you'll feel like you're staying in a welcoming home from home, just one that overlooks the stunning vista of Lake Garda! There are just twelve rooms (six with lake views and either balcony or terrace), all of which are traditionally decorated and adorned with period furnishings and antiques which are the ideal accompaniement to this handsome Venetian Red 19th century villa. Breakfast is a generous buffet, and if you get there early enough you can bag one of the tables one the terrace that hovers above the lake...a magical way to start the day. The hotel owns the nearby Lido dei Limoni, so if you want to sunbathe by the water all day you can. Alternatively you could hire a mountain bike or kayak (both available onsite) and explore the glorious surrounding countryside. Quite simply, Hotel du Lac is a charming small hotel that offers a traditional, elegant, friendly base on the shores of Lake Garda.”

“Why do your guests love staying with you?
The “Hotel Du Lac” has been in the Arosio family for two generations, and is set in a typical, elegant Nineteenth-Century lakeside house. Standing right at the water’s edge, it is one of Lake Garda’s smallest and most enchanting hotels. Located in the little village of Villa, it is surrounded by Lombardy’s alpine foothills, and looks across the lake at the spectacular Monte The Du Lac is a small hotel, almost a private house, full of atmosphere, peace and comfort, and it is the ideal spot for a totally relaxing stay

What is there to do in the area?
In this area there is plenty to do: boat excursions on the Lake, walks in the Alto Garda natural park and visits to nearby historic towns. Plus lemon groves, Wine tastings and marmalade tastings.
For sport lovers there is golf, tennis and windsurfing etc
Relax at the "Lido dei Limoni”, only 200 m from the hotel. Rent paddle boats, kayaks and bicycles.
Wellness treatments

What kind of breakfast do you offer?
Sit on our terrace by the Lake and enjoy the first rays of morning sun as you eat your rich buffet breakfast.

Do you offer other meals? And can you recommend good places to eat out locally?
In the Hotel du Lac we serve Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. The “La Bissa” Restaurant, named after the traditional local fishing boats, is set in a room adorned with early Twentieth-Century stuccoes, with large windows that keep it light and airy, and frame the panoramic views all around. During the summer season, the dining room extends out onto the little balcony surrounded by the waters of the lake, and onto the panoramic terrace. The restaurant delights its guests with simple, carefully-prepared Italian cuisine, offering you traditional local dishes, reinterpreted by our chef Massimo, who pays particular attention to choosing his raw ingredients. The wine cellar, selected by us personally, offers a good range of the best local and Italian wines. Our restaurant is closed on Monday. During the other days the restaurant is open from 12.00 to 14.00 and from 19.00 to 22.00.

Which are your most popular room types, and why?
The most popular are the “Belvedere sul Lago” Rooms.
These Six rooms have terraces or balconies looking straight out over the lake, clustered above the miniature inner garden, where the cool shade of the Phoenix palm and the abundance of flowers in the summertime combine to offer an oasis of peace and tranquillity, just a moment’s walk from the lively port square.

What facilities do you have for children and can you fit extra beds in your rooms ?
We don't have particular facilities for children, but they are welcome to stay and an extra bed can be added to the parents' room.
