Hotel Review

Set on a quiet street yet steps away from the buzz of the Champs-Élysées and Arc de Triomphe, Hotel Norman is a sophisticated boutique hotel for couples, friends and even families looking for a relaxing retreat in the city.

The cool décor pays tribute to American artist Norman Ives; inspired by his graphic works of vibrant colour from the ’50s and ’60s. Think vintage sofas, antique furniture, eclectic art and geometric prints.

There’s an inviting, laidback vibe, instead of a traditional reception on arrival, guests can relax in the cosy library-lounge during check-in; featuring a stylish well-stocked bar, large vintage sofas and a fireplace.

Guest rooms and suites are spotless, comfortable and unusually spacious for this part of town; making it feel like you’re staying in your own modern Parisian apartment. Highlights include beautiful large windows that offer lots of natural light and big balconies with views of the city.

Craft your own cocktail from the mini bar, while sitting back on a vintage leather lounger. Be sure to make a reservation at the hotel’s Thiou restaurant which serves Thai-French fusion cuisine; the city’s second restaurant from the renowned Chef Thiou (order the Thai crepe for dessert, which has a croissant-like texture and is utterly delicious!).

Guests can also relax at the hotel’s Spa by Omnisens or workout in the modern gym.

Staff are warm, helpful and just as welcoming as the hotel itself.
