Why do people love staying in your hotel? We believe it is the combination of our setting, the sense of space and the variety of experiences that makes Hotel Jardín Tecina so special. Perched on a clifftop overlooking the Atlantic and surrounded by 70,000 m² of botanical gardens, the hotel feels very much part of La Gomera’s natural landscape.

Guests can choose to do as much or as little as they like: relax by the pool, enjoy our Beach Club Laurel by the sea, play a round at Tecina Golf, unwind at Spa Ahemon or simply stroll through the gardens. Above all, we want our guests to slow down, enjoy the surroundings and experience the authentic character of La Gomera.

What is there to do in the area? La Gomera is an island made for exploring. Hiking is one of its greatest attractions, particularly in Garajonay National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its ancient laurel forest and spectacular scenery.

Guests can also discover traditional villages, volcanic landscapes and viewpoints, enjoy the island’s beaches, go whale and dolphin watching, kayaking, diving or snorkelling, or simply wander down to Playa de Santiago, our neighbouring fishing village.

There is also plenty to do without travelling far: Tecina Golf offers 18 holes with spectacular Atlantic views, while the hotel itself offers tennis, padel, fitness activities, Spa Ahemon and a variety of experiences designed to introduce guests to the nature and culture of La Gomera.

What kind of breakfast do you offer? Breakfast is served at Buffet Las Viñas, with lovely views over the Atlantic and Playa de Santiago. It is a generous buffet with a wide selection of hot and cold dishes, fresh fruit, breads, cereals, natural juices and both sweet and savoury options.

We also cater for different dietary requirements, with vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and lactose-free alternatives available. For guests leaving very early, we can arrange a light early breakfast from 5.00 am with advance notice.

Do you offer other meals? And can you recommend good places to eat out locally? Absolutely. Gastronomy is an important part of the experience at Hotel Jardín Tecina, and guests can choose from several restaurants and bars, from our main buffet restaurant to à la carte options offering Canarian, Spanish and international flavours. At Beach Club Laurel, down by the sea, guests can also enjoy different dining experiences including Italian cuisine and dishes that showcase local and seasonal ingredients.

We are particularly proud of Eco Finca Tecina, our 100% organic garden, which supplies some of the fruit and vegetables used in our restaurants.

For those who would like to eat outside the hotel, Playa de Santiago is just below us and is a lovely place to discover local restaurants, particularly for fresh fish and traditional Canarian dishes. Our team is always happy to recommend somewhere according to what guests are looking for.

Which are your most popular room types, and why? It really depends on the type of stay our guests are looking for. Our Oasis rooms are a popular choice for guests who love being surrounded by the hotel’s gardens, while Armonía and Horizonte rooms are particularly appealing to those looking for sea views.

For couples seeking greater privacy and tranquillity, our Pura Vida Adults Only area is a favourite. It includes Floresta rooms and spacious Villa Suites, with panoramic views and access to an exclusive pool and Jacuzzis.

Families, meanwhile, appreciate our Family Rooms and Family MAXI Rooms, which offer more space and flexible accommodation for parents travelling with children.

What facilities do you have for children and can you fit extra beds in your rooms? Hotel Jardín Tecina is very family-friendly. Younger guests can enjoy our Mini Club Palmito, children’s entertainment, minigolf, outdoor sports, Mini Disco, activities at Eco Finca Tecina and Laurus, our children’s water area with a slide and giant tipping bucket.

We also have dedicated Family Rooms. Our standard Family Rooms can accommodate up to two adults and two children, while our Family MAXI Rooms can accommodate larger families of up to six people.

In several of our other room categories, including Oasis and Armonía, the maximum occupancy is three guests, using a double or twin bed configuration plus a sofa bed. We therefore recommend choosing the room category according to the number and ages of the guests rather than simply adding extra beds.
