About Buritaca

What are the best hotels in Buritaca?

Buritaca is a tiny Caribbean village on Colombia’s northern coast, where the foothills of the Sierra Nevada meet a freshwater river and long, sandy beaches. It’s the sort of place you come to switch off, with waterfalls, swimming spots and Tayrona National Park close by. For the best place to stay, Gitana del Mar is our top pick, with its charming bamboo-and-thatch cabanas tucked between the rainforest and beach, excellent local food and morning yoga. It’s relaxed, characterful and wonderfully in tune with its tropical surroundings.
