“A historic building transformed into a stunning hotel in the heart of Lisbon. Elegant rooms feature beautiful fabrics and bespoke furnishings. The sophisticated restaurant serves Portuguese creations alongside exquisite wines, or enjoy a cocktail at the chic bar. A stylish base to explore the city.”

Hotel Review

A hotel inside a 300-year-old building that pops in a bright shade of yellow, the former home of King Joao's principal architect is today a gastronomy-centric 'wine experience' hotel. It's certainly pleasant to be welcomed by a stacked charcuterie board and bottle of red wine on arrival, and an invitation for a glass of port at the hotel bar. The 18th century building's architecture is full of original hand-painted tiles and quirky objets, and rooms are decked out with classic furnishings, comfortable beds (supplemented by an online pillow menu should you find them uncomfortable) and large marble-swathed bathrooms. Try to get a view overlooking the city's rooftops, although others that face inward to the vertiginous, plant-filled courtyard is a calming sight too.
