Travel information

• Fly to Lisbon Airport, and hop on the metro, bus or take a taxi into the city centre. Most hotels will be happy to arrange an airport pick-up in advance. Lisbon is also well-connected to other European cities by rail.

• Visit during the summer months, with temperatures hovering around 23-28°C between June and early September. Mardi Gras is immensely popular, and there are great street fiestas held each June. You'll find fewer crowds and great hotel deals outside the school holidays, or in spring and autumn, when the cooler weather is ideal for exploring on foot.
