Travel Information

• The closest international airport to Castellabate is Naples Airport, which is about an hour and a half away by car or taxi, or about three and a quarter hours by public transport. Lamezia Terme Airport, is the next closest, about three and a half hours drive, and the same by train. You can also arrive by ferry from Naples or Sorrento.

• The tourist season on the Amalfi Coast, and in the Cilentan Coast region, traditionally begins at Easter, and runs through until the first week of November. The warmest summer months are the busiest time for visitors, but if you’re not restricted on when you travel, and you’re interested in seeing this region’s historic treasures, like Paestum, Pompeii and Herculaneum, as well as its beautiful beaches, then it might be more enjoyable to visit between April and mid-June, or September through mid-October.
