About Ho Chi Minh City

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam’s dynamic commercial capital, blends old-world charm with sky-high modernity. From rooftop bars and buzzing markets to French colonial gems, it’s a city that hums day and night. And when it comes to hotels, you’re spoiled for choice — think chic riverside escapes in District 1 for couples, sleek high-rises near Ben Thanh Market for business travellers, or fun family-friendly stays in District 3. Whatever your vibe, HCMC has the perfect stay waiting.

Ho Chi Minh City can feel like a whirlwind at first, with its 24 districts buzzing with energy, but District 1 is where most visitors start their adventure. Here, you’ll find grand French colonial landmarks like the Notre-Dame Cathedral and Central Post Office, plus fascinating historical stops such as the War Remnants Museum and Reunification Palace. Street food lovers and night owls flock to Bến Thành Market and Pham Ngu Lao, while Dong Khoi Street is a go-to for upscale shopping.

Across the Saigon River, District 2—also called Thao Dien—offers a slower pace, with leafy streets, trendy cafes, and a relaxed expat vibe. For something more traditional, District 4 and District 5 serve up authentic Vietnamese street food and sprawling local markets. Whether you're joining a guided city tour or heading out to the Mekong Delta, there’s no shortage of ways to dive into the city’s culture. And after a day of exploring, unwind in one of the city’s top spots to stay and soak up the vibrant evening scene.
