You can hire the courtyard hot tub by the hour.

For romance on a budget

• Bath’s, The Kennard is a charming Georgian townhouse just minutes from Pulteney Bridge and the Roman Baths. There are 12 rooms, a splendid, chandelier-decked dining room - which is also where they serve breakfast - and a Jane Austen inspired garden. Children over eight are welcome.
• The Devonshire Arms in Langport, near Glastonbury, is a hunting lodge turned pub overlooking the village green. There are nine rooms and a fantastic gourmet pub menu. This is a great spot for walkers and anyone who loves the romance of outdoor pursuits.
• Archangel, in Frome is a chic and sophisticated restaurant with ten rooms. The decor mixes the original and contemporary and there are exposed beams, freestanding baths and some beautiful frescoes. The restaurant is definitely part of the experience and has a lovely sunny courtyard.
