Domaine des Hauts de Loire is a grand 19th-century former hunting lodge between Tours and Blois, which boasts a spectacular two-star Michelin restaurant. While this doesn't immediately scream child-friendly, the 70-acres of parkland to cycle and run around in and the kids club, that run through the holidays, make this an idyllic family escape.
