Jane Foster

Originating from the Yorkshire Dales, Jane began travelling while studying for a degree in architecture, visiting various notable buildings, museums and galleries during the holidays. A fear of flying has limited her to Europe, but that has never been a problem as there is literally so much to see here. She has lived in Italy, Greece and Croatia, and speaks all three languages. Now based in Split, on the Dalmatian coast, she specialises in Croatia and neighbouring Montenegro, writing about culture, design, hotels, food and wine, beaches and adventure sports. She is the Croatia and Dubrovnik expert for the Daily Telegraph Travel section, and co-author of several guidebooks, including the DK Eyewitness Athens Top 10 and the Bradt Dalmatian Coast.
