About Cyclades

All our Cyclades collections:

But if you're not sure which of these colourful, Aegean islands is for you we'll help you choose!

Santorini - Most famous of the Cyclades

Santorini features on many 'bucket lists'. It only takes one photo to see why. White, blue roofed buildings adorn this crescent of dark, volcanic rock like snow, dazzling by day and mesmerising at sunset (the sunsets are just one of the reasons it's one of the best places to stay in the Cyclades!).

Santorini's guests are a mixed bunch. They:

  • Hike trials around the volcano, ending days in a volcanic hot spring;
  • relax on a different coloured beach every day;
  • uncover the island's archaeological treasures,
  • or dine in different restaurants every night and dance 'till spectacular sunrise.

For something a bit different, check out Chromata - definitely one of the best places to stay in the Cyclades. A series of cave houses cut into the cliffside and stylishly designed to make full use of beautiful views in the Aegean.

More of the best accommodation on Santorini.

Naxos - Big and green...

...But today also known for its beaches. Naxos appeals to:

  • Folks looking for a fun and sun drenched beach holiday,
  • and hikers, drawn to the ancient trails winding from ancient church to charming village.

Naxos is also one of the best places places to stay in the Cyclades if you're charmed by myths and legend. Let's just say a lot has happened on this island. And Naxian wine has, since ancient times, been considered a restorative for a broken heart.

Hotel Kavos has lush grounds and self contained, traditionally whitewashed accommodation. So it's ideal for families, but also for those looking for a bit of privacy and their own beach.

More of the best places to stay on Naxos.

Paros - One of the best places to stay in the Cyclades!

One of the best places to stay in the Cyclades for two reasons:

  • it's the ferry hub
  • and it's lined with gorgeous beaches.

Paros is the gateway to the Cyclades. But it's not necessary to go further. Stay in Parikia if you enjoy thriving nightlife, Piso Livadi for a quiet resort break, or Lefkes is one of the best places to stay in the Cyclades to experience traditionally serene island life.

After spending the day at the beach, Yria Resort is lovely to come back to. Though with its gorgeous pool and own beach you don't really have to leave this 'village'.

More great places to stay on Paros.

Mykonos - For the energy and nightlife

Mykonos is one of the best places to stay in the Cyclades if you're looking for a good time. You can:

  • party 'til dawn with fashionistas;
  • recline on a sun lounger beside oil drenched celebrities;
  • shop and play with hedonistic holiday makers in the stylish town
  • and yet still escape to a lonely beach or make your own discoveries in the old town's labyrinths.

And Mykonos is definitely one of the best places to stay in the Cyclades if you're looking for luxury. Stay at the Kivotos Club Hotel! They'll send a limo to collect you from the airport and you can borrow their 25 metre yacht.

More great Mykonos hotels and resorts.

Amorgos - Smooth sandy beaches, perfect for families

If you're travelling with a family, Amorgos is one of the best places to stay in the Cyclades.

  • Its sandy beaches are great for snorkelling;
  • there are loads of scenic walks across its interior;
  • the waters are clear,
  • and the villages are traditional.

Lakki Village is one of the best places to stay on Amorgos. Its bungalows surround a long, safe sandy bay, perfect and private for young families.
