Lulu is a boutique hotel authority specialising in owner-led properties under 50 rooms where personalised service and detail matter. She spent 7 years shaping The Hotel Guru and served as its Marketing and Communications Director from 2019 to 2026. Her love of hotels and retreats started when she was young; her first job was making breakfast in a small hotel in Pimlico, London. In 2000, she catapulted her parents' Umbrian hotel into the pages of the world's major travel magazines, then launched a boutique hotel marketing brand in 2002 from her garden shed. Her love, passion and expertise focus on boutique hotels, retreats and their owners; this was evident in her choice of independent hotels, villas and B&Bs. Lulu has lived in Spain, Italy and France, speaks all three languages and has travelled to over 40 countries. Her expertise includes Italy, UK and Marrakech. Her motto is 'to travel is to live' and she has written for Sainsbury's magazine, House & Garden, Dossier Magazine, Suffolk Magazine, C-Word Magazine The Luxury Report, Bspoke Mind and more.
